This creation is thus shown in three very distinct phases, with an extraordinary evolution that transports us from an incensed balsamic fragrance, to a dark floral, to a ambery woody. a lightly smoking incense gradually begins to ebb in, further reinforcing this idea, but there are no cold-stone churches here; think more an out-in-the-forest cedar wood shrine, incense burning, surrounded by violets emerging from the loam. The oud, tobacco and cannabis really blend very well, making it creamy even though it's not a gourmand.

One of those examples where the perfumer's marketing materials do not quite match up with the experience, imo. i'm sure that having this on my wrist whilst i was in bed helped me to fall asleep, releasing subtle clouds of perfumed smoke and golden, dusty warmth, it is that comforting and 'nest-like'. This is my first ever sample set purchase and it wasn't even well thought out but the name of the fragrance really intrigued me and helped in making this decision. Finding similarities to other fragrances is a compliment here because I already have them means I really like them and that’s why I have them). I will not be caught dead wearing this just because of the obnoxious smelling opening but wow, what a beautiful dry down (or wash off?as mentioned before, this phase then goes on for hours, experiencing subtle changes as various aspects of the fragrance gain and lose dominance. The funny thing is, I worked so much on the balance of so many ingredients that I forgot how it all started. It smells like Tom Ford Sahara Noir and Terry de Gunzburg Ombre Mercure mixed together, so if you like either of those you'll probably love this. Before trying natural blends, study the list of ingredients and consult with a doctor if you are not sure or a had a history of allergies.

Besides that it's great ambery, not very much incensy on my skin, but with prominent styrax and iris perfume with wonderful opening.
