JBL BassPro Hub 11" Spare Tire Active Subwoofer Car Kit - 300 Watt Spare Wheel Housing Car Subwoofer with built in Amplifier and Fiberglass Woofer
About this deal
Even when I unplug the remote wire and put in a new fuse , it still blows the fuse even without the remote wire being wired in. I just wanted a nice bass filler with nothing too insane and this was just more than what I was expecting as far as sound/build quality. I forgot I had read you have to disconnect the Active Noise Cancellation Module(ANC) when you install a sub.
I can share the files if anyone is interested, but it was designed with the fuse holder I bought in mind. Anything is possible, but I would not recommend the JBL BassPro Hub due to the aesthetic modifications required. And with over-temperature protection (OTP) and over-current protection (OCP) you can count on reliability at peak volume levels. Whether cruising or competing, the JBL BassPro leaves the competition behind without missing a beat. This is because the system actually puts out some DC voltage when the lights turn on inside from opening a door or getting close with the key. The built-in Class D amplifier delivers 200W RMS and the 11" (279mm) feather-light fiberglass woofer delivers the signature kick and punch of JBL bass. I definitely would encourage anyone with an interest to try it out, maybe that'd be a good general post though.
That said, I noticed, just a few days ago, that JBL released this: JBL Stadium BassHub back in April. If you get signal from your rear speakers, (this unit allows speaker level input), the remote turn on will detect signal from the speakers and turn on.
