This unique recipe gives Black Bush its rich fruity notes and deep intense character, balanced by a unique smoothness. The BB in 1 ltr can be had for little money and when you stack it up against other blends, you appreciate what good value it is. Bushmills Original Irish Whiskey is a blend of our own triple distilled malt whiskey and a lighter grain whiskey and has picked up 36 awards this year alone.I am pleased to have Archibald contribute his thoughts on Bushmills Black Bush, as well as his tasting notes on a bottle from the 1980’s. Your traditional Speyside flavours are released as you open the bottle with a slightly floral, mineral-inspired malted aroma, with citrus honey and orchard fruit notes. We find it best to enjoy it poured neat over ice but can also be drank with cola or poured over ice cream! First neck pour left me wondering if it had anymore to offer, but a few drams in (and some resting time in between the daily sampling), I am able to confirm that the whiskey has opened up. You had two small racks of casks that created a small walkway, and in the middle of the walkway, on the floor, displayed 3 old barrels (one that contained bourbon, one for sherry and an old port pipe).

I’ve been to the Teeling distillery in Dublin, and really enjoyed their tasting experience after the tour. Smooth on the palate and a perfect finish, no harsh aftertaste with a perfect burn left on the tongue, albeit with a couple of small ice cubes added.and the ability to bottle your own from a selection of 2 cask strength barrels, in which the finish and ages do change once availability is gone. Aromas of juniper and subtle lemon welcome you to try and this leads to flavours of spiced juniper, cedar, coriander and subtle notes of crystallised fruit. It’s an easy drinking, versatile whiskey that can be enjoyed neat, over ice or with your favourite mixer. The high malt mash-bill presents an acceptable level of quality especially if you're used to a Speyside whisky. Sharp on its own Sagatiba Pura Cachaça is wonderful once you add a little sugar and lime and enjoy it in the traditional Caipirinha way.

This black Bush is a very nice budget whiskey, I find it better than standard jameson and better than original bushmills. One-shot processes ensure a stunning and mellow gin which is perfectly blended into many combinations.Signature Serve: Highball with a Twist of Orange 35ml of Bushmills Black Bush / 125ml of Soda Water / 1 Orange wedge/twist / Chunk of ice Steps 1. A classic Speyside offering, Glenfiddich’s 12 Year Old blend spends time in both American and European oak casks, developing a truly distinguished flavour. This unique recipe means Black Bush has rich, fruity notes and a deep intense character, balanced by an incredibly unique smoothness. Black Bush Irish whiskey combines an exceptionally high amount of malt married with a sweet, small-batch grain whiskey, and then matured in former Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks.
