About this deal

My hair didn't feel great for a while after as it is a bit damaging, but a few good conditions and it was fine. Since I’d bleached my hair, used red hair dye for a long time, dyed my hair with henna AND used red tinted brown dyes in the past…I’d pretty much used every product that Colour B4 says isn’t compatible with the hair remover product. As you can see, the ends are considerably darker than the roots and my natural colour is now starting to show through.

According to the instructions this is quite normal as red hair dyes can often alter your original hair molecules and turn them a different shade – in my case a cross between dark blonde and ginger! This time around, instead of re-dying my hair to a shade I have to admit, I just tolerate, I decided to strip back, I'm go au naturale for autumn, to match my new scarf mostly, but also because its low maintenance, and tends to make others jealous. I was shocked to see the product had indeed worked, despite there being no visible colour residue in the water during rinsing. And thanks :) the colour wasn’t awful I’d just never seen my hair that light before so it was a bit of a shock!I'm planning on applying a little more leave in conditioner at some point but otherwise my hair feels pretty OK to me, not as dry as I feared. I wanted to go back to my natural colour (which is pretty much the same colour as the model on the packet).

You mix together the Activator and the Remover and then leave it on for between 30 mins and an hour!

for 2 years now but where I've grown out my chin-length bob (it's now past my shoulders), I've got loads of colour build-up on the ends. ItsgettingharderandharderformetoanswerquestionsonherebecauseIgetsomanyandlosethem,thesameapplieswithe-mailquestions.

You hair will be slightly more porous and the colours going to grab really quickly so you probably won’t need to put it on for as long as recommended and will need to keep an eye on it. Although ColourB4 will remove the artificial dye, you will still notice your natural hair colour has lightened. The smell wasn’t as vile as I was expecting but still a little overwhelming – kind of like pond water with a sour edge to it – so if you do try this out yourself make sure your nostrils are well prepared and you carry it out in a well ventilated area! I don't think this is really meant for people who have persistently abused their hair with dye (although they don't state this on the box or they wouldn't have been able to sell it). It even has a few blonde highlights, so after I had calmed down and family members saying it looked nice, I went in the garden while my husband did a 360 video of my hair and I actually really like the colour now that I've seen it properly but as you can see in my photos, my eyebrows are dark and they're as dark as my natural hair colour so I'm going to end up with dark roots and no reliable colour match so will probably have to stay dark now until it's grown out again. You are going to apply your semi permanent colour onto wet hair – I know it probably says dry but ignore that!
