Crocodile Tears (Alex Rider)
About this deal
It started out fine, and I thought for a moment this would be one heck of a book, and that at last, Mr Horowitz would deliver! I also thought the message about the corruptness of some charitable organisations, and that a person's humanity not their circumstances make a man, was quite interesting. After reading this book, it made me think how difficult life is in other parts of the world and how some people are exploiting it for personal gains and it is just not right. After Bulman is framed and arrested, he meets Bulman and makes it clear that his life will be over if he ever tries to approach Alex again or break the story.
In fact I wrote my first book when I was ten, stuck in a miserable, north London boarding school where reading and telling stories were my only lifeline. What I mean by this is the 'Im going to tell you all my plans and let my minons kill you instead of killing you myself. He was first introduced to the British intelligence agency when his uncle was murdered on a mission, and Alex was recruited to go and finish the job. Most boys his age wouldn't walk away from a mystery or a grievance either, and would look for ways to strike back.
When his uncle is murdered in the first novel, Alex is recruited by the agency for both his talents and his age—because who would suspect a 14-year-old of being a spy? In typical Alex Rider style, he wins a round of Texas Hold 'em on someone else's money, donates it all back, and half a dozen or so pages later, the car he, Sabina, and Mr. The fact that Alex involved himself in so much of the bad guy's overall plot was different, and it makes sense given that Alex is the kind of kid that he is. Pleasure are in plunges into the Loch Arkaig, and they are then rescued by a foreign-looking person.
Anyway, I bet you anything the only reason he hadn't stolen it was because it was much too heavy and useless for lil brat, being a complicated piece of machinery. To destroy the population of Africa would make Mccain a very rich man because he would be able to scam people out of their donations.
Alex has his friend, Tom Harris, cover for him as he breaks away from the group to infiltrate Straik's office, using a locator map disguised as a postcard. Rahim explains that he is an Indian RAW operative attempting to exact revenge on McCain for what he did in the power plant. Indian spy rather conveniently wakes up in time to steal a plane and rescue Alex before he falls into the newly made waterfall and dies. McCain meets him and tells him, over a dinner of ostrich that night, about his plan: to bring about a biblical plague that will destroy half the continent of Africa to earn billions of dollars, pounds, euros and other currencies through a fake charity appeal by First Aid (showing the Elm's Cross video), arguing that his plan comes from a lifetime belief that money is power and respect. After another hard mission that he wasn't supposed to be on at all i really hope that Alex can get away from the spy life and lead a normal one.
He works for an Indian Intelligence Agency hell-bent on taking revenge on the bad guy for orchestrating the bombing in India. When i think there really couldn't be any more you could throw at Alex and continue this series Anthony finds another way to extend this story even more. After all, Alex is my favorite teen spy, and the one that truly kicked off a lot of the action-packed series that have since jumped on board. The story follows the same formula as all of the other installments and every Bond movie you've ever seen.
