About this deal

Pip might, I don’t know, not have tried to frame her murder on an innocent character, however sleazy. As the deadly game plays out, Pip discovers that everything in her small town is coming full circle . I was on board for all of this and the deep development we get to see, and I didn't really start having issues with the book until around the halfway mark.

If Pip really cared about Ravi she would break up with him and ask him to move on because she is dangerous. Maybe it’s just the improbability of this town having so many killers in it… but it’s a thriller, I’ll stop. Charlie still hasn’t been caught and Pip feels that he holds the answers to what she is feeling right now and she is currently self-medicating on Xanax bought from Luke. It was chilling, it was scary, it kept me on the edge of my seat (atp I'm glued down to this damn couch). And of course Pip goes through an entire elaborate plan to cover up her involvement in the crime and incriminate Max Hastings for something he didn’t do, which is just so against everything Pip and Ravi used to stand for, and it just doesn’t make logical sense. I read the first book a while back, so there might have been something planted, but in the third book there wasn’t. Although I easily guessed who the DT Killer was (something I have never once done before with one of Jackson’s book), I was completely engrossed. It was disturbing to see the juxtaposition between starry-eyed first book Pip and the podcast she made to expose the truth and now this different Pip and the podcast she made to obfuscate the truth.

Nah THIS is the best one in the series, it was sick, twisted, horrifying, intense and so worth reading. However, Pip learns that Maria Karras contacted her through the podcast back in April asking for her help in proving Billy’s innocence so she is more than willing to provide Pip with whatever she wants. Why are you having weekly chats with a person who intentionally fatally rufied you, and intended to kill you- but you apparently HATE the date rapist more than the “morally grey” man who murdered your boyfriends brother? Ellis Frazier certainly had many rookie mistakes in this film, but still managed to assemble an entertaining viewing. It all comes full circle when she knows who is stalking and threatening her with that consistent question. I didn’t expect Pip to resort to that, and I REALLY didn’t expect Ravi to dive head-first into assisting her with her cover-up. Pip got in some serious trouble this time and the stakes were much much higher than in the previous two installments.
