About this deal

This is due to the consistent and gentle heat provided by the heating belt, which aids in the fermentation process. The Heat Belt can be used to aid fermentation with one or two demijohns or any make of 5 Gallon/25 Litre vessel and is suitable for both beer, spirits and winemaking. attaching the Inkbird temperature probe to the fermenter with adhesive tape and covering it with a thin layer on insulation sheet, is already a nuisance, let alone covering available space on the fermenter with a heating belt (and how is the belt attached ? As a bonus, the heat belt comes with a stick-on thermometer to help you monitor the temperature of your brew more accurately.

The best electric heating pads for the home brewer include Brew Belt for wine or beer which wraps around the brewing bucket, immersion heaters which can be placed in the wort and heat pads on which to stand your demijohns or fermenters. If the heat pad has a tendency to warm the fermentation too much then by cycling the heat pad on and off with something like a timer can greatly aid the degree of control you have. Ideally, we want to control fermentation temperature as close as possible to the optimum temperature range for the yeast strain we are using. They are very knowledgeable and explain every step of the way to ensure you have everything you need to make the perfect brew. I'm not sure if there is a technical reason for this or if it is a reflection of poor build quality. Devices like brew belts and heat pads provide enough heat to keep the fermenter warm but not enough to warm the fermenter too much and distress the yeast. You really want to keep your fermentation temperatures as stable as possible, so it'll all require some dialing in. I'd recommend the orange looking heat belt, I've used that one years ago and it did the trick, I wish i bought that one rather than this.

No more moving the belt up and down the demijohn to get the temperature right, just setup the thermometer on the outside of the demijohn and regulate the temperature using the dial. As the weather cools we have to make sure we are still getting a good temperature for yeast to ferment the beer. Please do not worry about live cultures please see the guide below for how long they can be in their packaging. Leemond if you get one of these controllers from our sponsor Inkbird you can tape the temperature sensor to the side of the FV and it will keep it at your required temperature.

Most fermentation brew belts are simply a rubber strip with the heating element inside that has the flexible power cord threaded through.

One of the main benefits of using the TopBrewing™ heat belt is the reduced time it takes to complete the brewing process of your beer and wine. If we do not receive photographic evidence of the damage we will not be able to process a claim and therefore will not be able to offer a refund/exchange. If you need your culture by a certain date please contact us and let us know and we will do the best we can do accomodate. This great heater belt for home brewing comes with a variable temperature dial control and is suitable for 1 gallon demijohns to 33 litre fermenters.I use a heat mat where my fermenter sits nicely on it, I have a brew fridge so with the temperature control on both fridge and heat mat it keep a very steady temperature for whatever I set it at.

Simply wrap it around the fermenter and slide the belt along the power cord a and secure in place with our innovative clip. The only exception to this is the tape we use which is made from PVC and needs to be thrown in the normal waste. The only silly thing about it is the random drawer string with plastic toggle used to tighten the belt around the bucket, its unnecessarily fiddly, but doesn't inhibit the basic hating function of the product. I filled my stainless steel fermenter with water and now I am going to try and figure out the best on/off intervals to maintain a constant temperature – i was wondering if you have any suggestions at all?Perfect if you need to keep your brew in a spare room, garage of cellar where the temperature is less than ideal for brewing. The heat belt is wrapped around the fermenter and the cord pulled tight so it grips around the fermenter at the height you choose (more on this in a moment). Our 900mm home brewing heat belt fits demijohns, 5 gallon beer fermenters, and larger vessels, The heat belt is fully adjustable. Following the manufacturer's instructions when using an electric heat pad is essential to ensure safety and effectiveness.
