About this deal

From the sampler of the Ghosts Archives and I’ll start by saying, if you’re a fan of the show (I’m going to assume that you are because EVERYONE should be. I wasn’t actually reading the book at that point, I was just spending a while staring and trying to decipher the handwriting… was just a pain. If you are in the North America, look out for US/Canadian flag icons on popular product listings for direct links.

Written by the show's creators - Mathew Baynton, Simon Farnaby, Martha Howe-Douglas, Jim Howick, Laurence Rickard and Ben Willbond - this eclectic archive is a unique chance to discover more about the beloved ghosts of Button House. The ghosts of Button House may have been dead a long time - some of them a very long time - but they have all left their mark on the world (even if, in Robin's case, that mark is just a handprint on the wall of a cave). Ghosts: The Button House Archives will be published on 26th October 2023, with promotional and signing events nationwide in the run-up to Christmas. I confess to being a huge fan of the BBC's Ghosts comedy and this book is a great companion piece for any fan. We get newspaper cuttings of some of Pat’s rather hilarious escapades and transcripts from some of Julian’s rather dodgy dealings and attempts to build his very own swimming pool on expenses… and the addition of the Times TV schedule spread with all of the programmes each of the ghosts have highlighted to watch was a further glorious insight into their personalities.I got the button house book as a present which I thoroughly enjoyed, but hearing the characters read it took it to another level and was great timing after the end of the tv series. And if I got that just from the sneak preview, I can only imagine the full read will be everything us fans could want and more. There are even documents dictated to the one person who can see and hear the ghosts - Alison Cooper. Gathered together in this volume is a treasure trove of unearthed cuttings, original records and rare artefacts that explore the unseen lives of those who died at Button House - from Thomas's love letters to Pat's 'Summer Camp Rap', and from Julian's campaign promises to Lady Button's Rules of Etiquette.

PLEASE NOTE: When you purchase this title, the accompanying PDF will be available in your Audible Library along with the audio.

I’m a big fan of both Ghosts and Ghosts US so I was really interested in reading a sample of this companion book to the series. But let's be real, it's a companion to the excellent TV show Ghosts which I adore so it was perfection. It’s a great addition to the show and we get further insights into all the characters we’ve come to know and love. I read the physical book a couple of months ago and never got around to finishing the audiobook until now I am obsessed! Mathew Baynton, Simon Farnaby, Martha Howe-Douglas, Jim Howick, Laurence Rickard and Ben Willbond are the creators of GHOSTS and all star in the series. This is a truly heart-warming story of loss, recovery and above all, of community' Bernie McGill, author of The Watch House.

It's presented as a series of documents relating to the lives, and deaths, of Button House's spectral inhabitants.I laughed out loud at every page, written perfectly so I could almost hear each ghost's voice as I read. Lots of little in-jokes and subtle references for fans, and looks like it will make a great companion piece.
