i'd forgotten all about this book till it was rtned at our circ desk, and i recognized the front cover; turns out this was one of the first books ever read to me when i was like 2 or 3yrs old!

The scariness of the haunting is resolved in a standard children's book manner, so this shouldn't alarm your little ones too much. Also, noteworthy, are the props that Pagan commissioned to accompany each adventure – each was carefully crafted to reveal the right information – yet is not extravagant – it provides a tantalizing clue but through efficient and effective role playing – investigators are bound to find the same clue through interaction. However, since seances and mediums have at times been associated with evil, I can see why some parents may object to this. The Grandview features numerous outdoor activities including riding, camping, fishing, swimming, hunting, skeet shooting, tennis, and croquet.Allard also used a lot of encouraging disrespectful language and disobedience to parents which is not appropriate for elementary students. There is too much variety of supernatural issues going on in the book which should not be taught in the classroom. But it is still dark in the cellar so they decide to paint it white and, you can imagine what happens, they can't see each other, go bump once more and again it is "Send for Doctor Bones! Hence, I found it very dense but yet enjoyable as a read, I would want to see it in play, as seemed more to be a work of fiction, compared to the previous adventure(s).

I really thought this book was interesting and did not at all mind reading this book, I think it would be a great story to read during Halloween or any other time, especially in the fall. The investigators are on vacation at the Grandview Lodge, a rustic hotel in Floyd Country, Virginia. It is popular vacation spot for many affluent people who are eager to escape the routine of city life.I wound up giving this three stars because, while the writing and art is passable, it doesn't wow me. This volume explains in five non-Mythos scenarios of supernatural horror and mystery from author John H. While this is a finely crafted scenario, it is a very busy scenario that required several re-readings to make full sense of it. It's understandable why some schools placed this on the banned book list because of its seance scene and spooky atmosphere, but children with nighttime fears should read this book because it shows not all mysterious things are harmful.

Over her father’s objections, she went so far as to move into the Galley home at the end the semester (in June).Scott Glancy, of Pagan Publishing for gifting me a copy, of this book for the purposes of this review.
