About this deal
Tailored to perfection, the Techno Xt 2018 version is made to reduce weight, improve ergonomics and add style. The canopy is the high point of this stroller, but we think that you can find that, as well as better overall performance, in some of our higher-scoring options. I personally love this buggy for its weight and practicality, as some of the funkier models are a little heavier.
A strong sturdy stroller, with great handle height (which is adjustable) perfect for the taller people. The Techno XT is sturdy and safe, with a 5-point harness, and allows Harrison to see all of what’s going on when out and about in a seated upright position, so he feels a little more independent, and free.
My ds is 4, and when going out for the day I still take it out and he is a big boy and there is no signs of give in the buggy and he fits very nicely in it. What sets it apart from other strollers is the fold down hood that covers baby in the cold or sun, I never needed a parasol and is brilliant for when baby is sleeping.
It's such a travel hybrid - the weight and dimensions when folded are the weak side of the stroller, on the other hand the large internal dimensions, canopy and solid frame are a plus compared to modern "mini" strollers. I got this buggy when our less expensive Maclaren imitation started to buckle under the weight of my then two-and-half year old Finn. It is now the most popular among my baby friends and most of them now have one, some who live in flats and others in houses-all find it so easy to use. The break is easy to access as it is next to the wheels but this is in an awkward position if you are bumping the buggy up some stairs - often the break would catch on the step and lock the wheels. The lovely people at Maclaren have actually offered the Readers of Being a Mummy the chance to win their own Maclaren Techno XT pushchair! I bought my Maclaren Techno XT Umbrella Stroller when my daughter was about 5 months old and wish I had bought it from birth.
