About this deal

Just want to make the best job possible but there seems to be two ways above, unsure which one to do right now but without risking leaks again with putting new interior plywood boarding on before we go away. Notes , press the alloy firmly into place before pilot drilling , add a good bit of mastic when finally fitting . To gain clearance for pilot drilling , wind up the rear caravan legs and extend down the front ones . At least four holes are going to be drilled into the bodywork, and you don’t want to get that wrong. I also understand your worries of your ply floor not being replaced with the risk of health with spores and the ply slowly degrading, I think there will be quite a few of us with the same concerns. If this does happen I know exactly what I will do when and if the time comes. Believe me I’m not happy at all with this water ingress problem. The dimensions of this suction grab bar are 300 mm in length (12 inches), and the maximum user weight limit here is 95 kg (15 stone).

If you want to get out of the caravan (which I can understand) it may just be worth asking your dealer for his best deal on another make, given the disappointment with your current van, To keep quoting the SOGA to try to achieve a replacement, even with a reduced value of your current van isn't going to work. Speak to Trading Standards and then you have to put up to take into court. The SOGA needs to be determined by a court that it has been breached, you cant just print a copy of it and throw it on your dealers desk. If you are reclaiming them from a car yourself, it is simple to flip up the screwhead cover at each end and use a cross-point or Torx screwdriver to remove the fixing bolts. Quote: Lift and clean around the window rubbers outside ( use white spirit then meths to clean ) , apply a bead of sealant under the window rubbers . If you plan to fix your grab handles horizontally, and you choose a rear seat handle with a coat hook, you will also have a serviceable coat hook!

Stick 'n' Stay Mobility Handle

Hopefully, these short overviews offer you a taste as to how well they could work for you in your own caravan. You would need to remove and clean the rubbers ( but it can be a long job ) , my idea was to get you by for now . Use a fan heater to help the battens dry out ( if possible ) do not reboard the inside until the battens are dry and the caravan is water tight . Many modern caravans and motorhomes come with a water ingress (damp) warranty. Typically for a period of 8-10 years from the date of manufacture. When you mention awning rail to body joint/gap, do you mean where the awning rail meets / fits on to the outer skin of the caravan both on the roof and the side outer wall of the caravan? Yes .

You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information in the following ways: You either want your LED changed f. o. c under warranty or not and I don't think there's a magic fairy that comes out at night and rectifies the problem without anyone noticing or being held on a warranty data base. My last caravan was with Bailey for repairs for damp and the dealer gave us a part exchange price against a Pegasus with the caravan still in Bailey's workshop for repair, we never actually saw the caravan again. They gave a good part ex value against our original Pegasus. If your dealer is using past repairs to de-value your caravan when part exchanged, try another dealer. Now I understand what your trying to do and we do have rights under the SOGA but with the current age of your caravan your walking a tightrope.

Angled Steel Grab Rails

The offside grab handle subsequently is loose with no real wood strength for it to attach too and hence this is letting in water too, which won't have helped this corner. Do I not need to re-seat the window rubbers on non setting bedding mastic that comes on a roll? You don't have to seal the windows this way ( the choice is yours ), you can use tube mastic ( sealant ) .

The whole idea of getting the caravan was so we would have cheap accommodation whilst up Sheffield way, visiting my family but I remember caravan holidays from my younger years with grandparents and want my own (2 yr old) son to experience these too and have many memories from them. However, if you, as a DIY project you drill into that bodywork while the vehicle is still under warranty, you may have invalidated a potential future damp claim. Whilst there is really shoddy sealant on the outside edges of the window rubbers, there is most definitely nothing at all below... I presume there should be? So I've stripped off (most) of the offending interior ply panelling to the front of the cvan, to reveal a good portion of the extent of the damp problems in both front of cvan corners.

Plastic Fluted Grab Bars

However, as stated above, be cautious about drilling into the bodywork. Not only for invalidating your water ingress warranty but also for making a mistake and drilling holes in the wrong places. Yes, you can continue to return items as normal as long as you follow the government guidelines about leaving your house.
