How can you not love this book, Baldacci brings us two of his great characters, Carol Blum in a stronger role, in this well paced thriller. Thankfully, although many things have been sorted there is still more to come where Atlee is concerned and I will absolutely be waiting in line for that. I have long used audio to read Baldacci, so I am used to the intertwined voices and characters that appear throughout. The pair of them have no idea of the dangers they will find themselves in as they pull at the threads of the drugs inquiry.

Others help to shape the plot and keep the story moving forward, with banter and plot twists that are sure to keep the reader intrigued. The title alone speaks to the promise of answers that have eluded Atlee in the first two installments . However, to get the full experience I would recommend reading Long Road to Mercy and A Minute to Midnight.

When you read a book by author David Baldacci, you come to expect a certain level of writing that you know will keep you locked in for the entire book. Murder and political corruption are at the center of this mystery, and this time in addition to her intrepid FBI assistant Carol Blum she has John Puller as a partner in tracking down these evil people.
