About this deal

https://developer.apple.com/documentation/xcode/examining-the-fields-in-a-crash-report#Diagnostic-Messages” Is Brave able to stay open long enough for you to go to brave://crashes? If so, try to submit crash logs and provide crash report ID.

You can use their free ProtonVPN, it’s your choice but free costs them a lot of money, so maybe you should start by wondering: Why are they so caritative giving things for free and losing money doing that? We will use this thread to gather information on this issue for the developers to review. If you have encountered this issue, please respond to this thread with the as much of the following information as you can provide.Start fresh.** Delete `Brave Safe Storage` key from KWallet. Delete app settings in `~/.config/BraveSoftware` and `~/.cache/BraveSoftware`

So, to sum up: if you don’t freak out if there’s some glitch and follow up with them then everything is fine. We’re still dealing with a very young and ambitious project and for me the rewards system is still in a kind of beta stage but it works nonetheless. Yes and no. Nothing is ever completely free. Some are able to support by also offering premium tiers. But many others sustain themselves through collecting and/or selling your information, even if they claim they don’t. A good example of this is https://www.techradar.com/news/millions-of-free-vpn-users-records-leaked where they had announced they don’t collect your data but then a database containing this information was found. Those with Brave 1.41.x and 10.12 (Sierra) and 10.11 (El Capitan) or lower should not be prompted with an update to 1.42.x The breakpoint exception type indicates a trace trap interrupted the process. A trace trap gives an attached debugger the chance to interrupt the process at a specific point in its execution. Brave version is Version 1.43.89 Chromium: 105.0.5195.102 (Official Build) (64-bit). Running Windows 10.trap the process with this exception upon encountering an unrecoverable error, and log additional information about the error in the ‘Additional Diagnostic Information’ section of the crash report.

I did the renaming workaround to open the crash log and there don’t seem to be any crashes reported If the issue did occur after a crash, providing us with the crash report ID would be helpful (you can do this by going to brave://crashes and sharing the crash report ID left under the event) I do not user VPN and the only extension I use is pw manager, which is enabled, and which I reset, cleared and relogged in but still having same issues. We do appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding here and hope to have a solution to this issue as soon as possible. If anyone sees a Community member reporting this issue, please direct them to this thread. Personally, I hate anything that greatly restricts my capabilities. The purpose of a computer, for me, is so I can visit anywhere I want and install any program I desire. With that always does come with increased risk, but if you use common sense you generally won’t have issues. INSUFFICIENT INFO WILL GET THE ISSUE CLOSED. IT WILL ONLY BE REOPENED AFTER SUFFICIENT INFO IS PROVIDED-->

https://developer.apple.com/documentation/xcode/understanding-the-exception-types-in-a-crash-report”As this is an important issue, rather than waiting for a fix to come from upstream (as we often do with Chromium based issues), we are attempting to see if this is something that is within our scope to fix ourselves. Note that this is a non-trivial issue and a rather large undertaking and may take some time. You can read more about this in the “Advanced reading” section below. Actions users can take to help
