About this deal

At around 8pm, a witness saw Richard in his driveway holding his head. It is believed that he could have sustained the injury by this time. Five days later, her body was found in a ditch in Stowmarket, after a dog walker reported seeing a dummy. The mystery and murders are... almost secondary at times. The events and details unravel at an alarmingly slow rate, it seems. And while it's not tough to finger the murderer, the events are wrapped up in the pranks at the school - are they perpetrated by one and the same to cover up the other things happening behind closed doors? Despite having been seen walking down Burrows Road in the village to the newsagents and looking through its window, Linda did not enter the store. The 1993 murder of young mum Karen Hales, who was stabbed to death at her Ipswich home, has also gone unsolved. Karen Hales died while at home with her 18-month-old daughter. Captain Gabriel Lacy has taken a position as a secretary to a head master at a country school for boys. His good friend Lucius Grenville went to school with the headmaster and recommended Lacy to the position. There have been some disturbing pranks at the school and the headmaster would like Lacy to uncover who the perpetrators are. Lacy is ready to enjoy the clean air and quiet peacefulness of the country. But the pranks become deadly serious when a body is found in a nearby canal and Lacy finds himself investigating another murder. Both men were seized and led to their deaths. The Westgate Towers, rebuilt by Simon of Sudbury, still stand strong in Canterbury today. I'm pleased that the "main" characters continue to grow and evolve as real people do. The friendship between Lacey and Grenville deepens, but also hits a bit of turbulence over Marianne. Lacey keeps Marianne's secret, which irks Grenville, but it means that Lacey's sense of honor is in tact -- and honor and "right" are among Lacey's most valuable and most dangerous character traits. To reveal Marianne's secret to Grenville would mean that Lacey isn't true to his own code. In one of those cases, a 40-year-old man was gunned down inside a unit at the Lighthouse co-op on Bruce Avenue. That was in October of last year, and police said it was a targeted incident, involving people known to one another. Police say two men from Greater Sudbury, ages 27 and 38, were the victims in the fatal shooting at a local hotel on Tuesday.
